Since a very young age I was fascinated with the texture and movement of fabrics. It became a hobby that captured my imagination and filled many creative hours.

I studied at Stellenbosch University (B.Sc., H.E.D and B. Ed. CUM LAUDE). During the eleven years as a biology and science teacher, the design and making of wedding gowns and special events wear was a hobby that kept my passion alive. Eventually, in 2005 Ilse Roux Bridal Wear was birthed when I entered the fashion industry on a full-time basis.

Our bridal studio is based in a private, residential setting for an intimate and relaxed, but professional bridal experience. You can be sure that your big day is as near to our heart as it is to yours. By building a relationship with our brides, we learn their heartbeat and this enables us to weave their delicate dreams into material, capturing the very essence of romance and timeless elegance.
